Norwegians investing in Iceland
A group of Norwegian investors, headed by Endre Rųsjų, wants to make a 20 billion ISK long-term investment in the Icelandic economy. Rųsjų has met with the Icelandic pension funds about creating an investment fund, where the pension funds would match the Norwegian contribution of 20 billion ISK.
Hrafn Magnśsson, managing director of the Icelandic Pension Funds Association, has met with the Norwegian investors: “We believe that it is a very interesting option to cooperate with the Norwegians in the reconstruction of the Icelandic economy, because it is vital to get foreign capital into the country, especially from our friends the Norwegians”.
Rųsjų himself is considering to personally invest between 50 and 60 million NOK in the Icelandic MP bank.
